Lisa van Katwijk is a photographer and scout with a strong eye for casting, faces and fashion. Guided by intuition and a deep sense of aesthetics, she looks for people who hold her gaze through a face, posture, presence or energy.
Her work often begins on the street, in natural daylight and through encounter. She photographs people not only to capture what they look like, but to make something of their presence felt. Her photography moves between fashion and intimacy, between beauty and human connection.
Through her work, Lisa invites the viewer to look a little longer, as if being allowed to sink into someone for a moment.
